Burton Photography has been creating family portraits in the NC High Country for decades. Our studio is located just east of Boone, North Carolina, and we work with families throughout the region including Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Linville, West Jefferson, and beyond. We also welcome families traveling to the mountains from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and across the Southeast who want portraits in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Our most popular family portrait locations include the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, and private properties throughout Watauga, Avery, and Ashe counties. October is our busiest month by far, when the fall foliage in the High Country is at its peak and the light is unlike anywhere else on earth. Sessions are also available year-round, including winter sessions for families who want something dramatic and painterly.
Every family session includes a complimentary planning consultation, two photographers, and an in-person ordering appointment where your proofs are projected on a big screen.
