Welcome to Portraits on the Parkway!
Thank you for booking your PPW session! We're excited to see old friends and meet new ones at our 19th annual event. We'll be creating portraits on the grounds of the Moses Cone Estate. (Click on the link for directions to the estate.)
Please make note of your PPW session date and time. Arrive about ten minutes early and READY! We will be working at a fast pace with 2-3 minutes of transition time between sessions. We often work a bit ahead of schedule and rarely get behind.
Make sure your kids aren't hungry or thirsty when they come for their session and that their faces/teeth are clean if they've eaten a snack on the way.
Please avoid the urge to "coach" your kids into their best smiles while we are working with them. Thank you for trusting our process. Let us interact with your child/children so that we can get those natural expressions that you love. The very best thing you can do is let your child know that we're going to have fun and then just step back and relax.
Park near the Carriage House down from the white Manor House (where the bathrooms are located). When you arrive, send a text to Bonnie at 336-682-0101 to let us know you have arrived. Please identify yourself in your text! It may take a few minutes for us to respond but we'll be watching for your arrival.
Come rain or shine! If it's a complete washout, we will contact you by email or phone by 3 pm on the day of your session. There are sheltered places to work and we can often create gorgeous portraits in less than "perfect" weather.

If you are wondering what your child/children should wear to their session, see the examples below for successful clothing choices. Spring colors work best. Avoid big stripes, high contrast plaids, large logos. Small prints and solids are great. You can be as casual or dressed up as you like.
